How do I get to Run and Ride Central to collect my bib?

We highly recommend taking the metro. Get off at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) Station. Alternatively, there are paid parking options, including RTA, One Central, and DWTC.

What are the routes?

There are two routes for Dubai Run this year. The 5km route begins on Sheikh Zayed Road near Museum of the Future and ends near Dubai Mall. The 10km route begins on Sheikh Zayed Road near Museum of the Future and ends in front of The Gate, DIFC.

How do I take part in Dubai Run?

You need to register at www.dubairun.com, collect your bib from Run and Ride Central, located at One Central, Monday to Friday 2pm - 10pm or Saturday 25th 10am - 12am midnight, then come along on the day and enjoy the experience of running on some of Dubai's most iconic roads.

Do I need to register?

Yes you do. Dubai Run is a free event but we ask everyone to register for safety and security reasons. After registering, you will need to collect your Dubai Run bib from Run and Ride Central, located at One Central,  Monday to Friday 2pm - 10pm or Saturday 25th 10am - 12am midnight. Anyone arriving at Dubai Run without a bib will unfortunately not be able to take part.

Do I need to register my kids?

Yes you do. Anyone over 21 years old can add kids to their registration. Children between 13 and 21 can register individually but must have the consent of a parent or guardian. Kids under 13 can only be registered with an adult aged over 21.

Can I register as a family?

Yes, one parent can add their kids to their registration. If the other parent wants to take part in Dubai Run as well, they will need to register separately.

Can I register with my friends?

No, all adults need to register individually for safety and security reasons. If you want to take part in Dubai Run with friends, make sure you all register for the same route and time, and arrange to meet somewhere before you come to the start line.

How do I get my bib and Dubai Run t-shirt?

You can collect your bib and T-shirt (if eligible) from Run and Ride Central, at One Central,  Monday to Friday 2pm - 10pm or Saturday 25th 10am - 12am midnight. Further details will be shared with registered runners. If visiting at peak times please bring a refillable water bottle and sun hat.

How do I get a Dubai Run t-shirt?

If you ordered a t-shirt when you registered for Dubai Run you can collect it at the same time you collect your bib. Please note that stock is limited so some sizes may not be available.

I've lost my bib. Can I get another one?

Yes, you can, but you need to revisit the collection point at Run and Ride Central, located at One Central  Monday to Friday 2pm - 10pm or Saturday 25th 10am - 12am midnight – and you may need to cancel your registration and re-register. 

Please note you will not be able to order a t-shirt if you cancel and re-register.

What is a QR code?

A QR code is a square code that can be scanned by mobile phone cameras. It saves manually typing in codes, so helps us to serve you more quickly and more accurately. Don't share your QR code online.

Can I change my arrival time?

Yes you can, but you will have to cancel your registration and re-register again. You will not be able to re-order a new t-shirt.

Please make sure you arrive in the time slot you have booked so we can manage safety and the pre-Run experience for all participants. If you can’t remember what time you booked, please check the confirmation email you received when you registered.

Can I cancel my registration?

Yes you can, please log in to your profile at www.dubairun.com and select 'manage my booking'.

Can children take part?

Yes of course, Dubai Run is a family-friendly event. All children need to be supervised by an adult.

What's the difference between the routes?

The 5km route begins on Sheikh Zayed Road near Museum of the Future, passes the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Opera and ends near Dubai Mall. It's a flat route suitable for runners of all ages and abilities. The 10km route begins on Sheikh Zayed Road near Museum of the Future, follows Sheikh Zayed Road over the Dubai Canal, then returns towards the Trade Centre before ending at The Gate DIFC. It is suitable for more experienced runners.

Can people of determination take part?

Yes they can. We have a dedicated team to look after people of determination and make sure they have a safe and enjoyable experience at Dubai Run. Please contact [email protected] for more details.

Can I take part in a wheelchair?

Yes you can. We have plans in place to ensure that people of determination can take part in Dubai Run safely. Please email [email protected] for more details.

Why did I not get a Dubai Run t-shirt?

Dubai Run is really popular this year and unfortunately we can't guarantee a t-shirt for every participant.

 

I can't find my QR code.

It was emailed to you when you registered. Please check your spam emails in case it went there. If you still can't find your code, go back to www.dubairun.com, sign in to your profile and select 'manage my booking' to view and download your QR code. Don't share your QR code online.

Why didn't I get the t-shirt size I ordered?

The allocation of t-shirts for Dubai Run, presented by Mai Dubai, has been completed. You may still register for the run for the unique chance to run on Sheikh Zayed Road.

Can I pick up bibs and t-shirts for my family or friends?

Yes you can, you just need to make sure you have their QR codes or registration codes.

I lost my t-shirt - can I get a new one?

No. Stock is limited so unfortunately we can't issue replacement t-shirts.

Can I change my route?

Yes you can, but you will have to cancel your registration and re-register on the other route. If you have already collected your bib, you will also need to go to the collection point at Dubai Run and Ride Central, at One Central to collect your new bib. You will not be able to order another t-shirt.

Can I run both the routes?

No. Dubai Run is a very popular event so we ask that you complete your chosen route only once, so everyone gets a chance to take part.

Why do I need a bib?

They are an important safety element of Dubai Run - anyone arriving without a bib will unfortunately not be able to take part in the event.

 

Can I travel to and from Dubai Run by metro?

Yes you can - the metro will open from 3:00am on the day.

If you are on the 5km route, head for World Trade Centre metro station to reach the start line. After your run, reward yourself with a nutritious breakfast in Dubai Mall where food outlets will be open from 7am before you head home.

If you are running the 10km route, head for Emirates Towers metro station to reach the start line.

If you plan to use the metro, please make sure you have a NOL card with a minimum balance of AED 15 before Dubai Run to minimise queues on the day.

Will there be road closures for Dubai Run?

Yes there will. Some roads will be closed to create the Dubai Run routes and ensure we have a safe space for people to enjoy their run. Please refer to the RTA’s social media for more details.

What if I arrive late?

There are cut-off times for the Dubai Run routes this year so we can re-open the roads. We recommend you start your 10km run by 8:15am, or if you are on the 5km route you should start by 9:00am. If you arrive late, you may not be able to start your run or to complete the full route.

What happens when I arrive for my run?

Please follow the signs for your chosen route (5km or 10km) and our event team will direct you to the start line. Please note that you may be directed to a holding area before you start your run so we can manage crowd safety at the start line.

Where is the drop-off and pick-up point?

There are drop-off and pick-up points near the start and finish lines but we recommend you use Dubai Metro to travel to and from Dubai Run.

Can I ride my bike to Dubai Run?

You can, but we don't recommend it. There is no secure bike storage at Dubai Run. We recommend you use Dubai Metro to travel to and from Dubai Run.

Where can I park?

We recommend you use Dubai Metro to get to and from Dubai Ride. All metro stations are close to RTA parking.

If you want to drive, park in one of the Dubai World Trade Centre car parks for the 10km route, or park at Dubai Mall for the 5km route and then make your way to the start line using Dubai Metro.

Note there will be road closures in place for Dubai Run so we recommend travelling to and from the event by Dubai Metro.

Is there a cut off time?

Yes, there are cut off times for both routes. Our event team will let you know if you are falling behind on the day. If you do miss the cut-off times, you will be asked to complete your Dubai Run on the sidewalks rather than the roads.

Where do I go to start the 5km run?

Please head for World Trade Centre metro station and our event team will guide you to the start line. Please note you may be directed to a holding area before you start your run so we can manage crowd safety at the start line.

Where do I go to start the 10km run?

Please head for Emirates Towers metro stations and our event team will guide you to the start line. Please note you may be directed to a holding area before you start your run so we can manage crowd safety at the start line.

Can I travel to and from Dubai Run by taxi?

Yes you can. There will be dedicated drop-off and pick-up points at both 5km and 10km start and finish lines. Route maps will be shared before the event, showing you where you need to go on the day.

How do I get back to my car after my run?

Our event team will be able to direct you to a safe route back to your car. Alternatively, please use Dubai Metro to travel back to where you parked your car.

What time does Dubai Run start?

Dubai Run starts at 6:30am.

Where does Dubai Run start and finish?

Please let one of our event team know as soon as possible if you've lost your child and we will help you find them. It's important that children wear their Dubai Run bib so we can reunite you quickly.

Can I bring a backpack with me?

No. Backpacks or rucksacks are not permitted for safety reasons.

Yes there are. Will toilets be available?

Yes, there will be toilets available at the start and finish lines, as well as at intervals along the route.

What happens when I arrive for my run?

Can I run with my family and friends?

Yes you can - just make sure you are all registered on the same route, with the same arrival time. We suggest you arrange to meet up somewhere before you get to the start line. Once you start your run, please be aware of other runners and leave plenty of space for them to get past you.

Can people of determination take part?

Yes they can. We have a dedicated team to look after people of determination and make sure they have a safe and enjoyable experience at Dubai Run. Please contact [email protected] for more details.

What happens with lost property?

Lost property is collected at the finish lines. If you find an item, or if you've lost an item, please speak to one of the event team to assist you. Any lost property which is not claimed immediately after the event is handed over to Dubai Police.

Is Dubai Run a race?

No, Dubai Run is a chance to run on Dubai's iconic roads for fun, it's not a competition.

Is there water available?

Yes there is. Our partner Mai Dubai is providing water for Dubai Run and there will be water stations at regular intervals along both routes. Please make sure you put your empty bottle in one of the recycling bins to help us reduce waste at the event.

What should I wear?

Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather and for taking part in a physical activity. Remember that it may be cold before sunrise but will get warmer and sunnier later in the morning.

Will food be available?

There is no food on the route but after your run, reward yourself with a nutritious breakfast in Dubai Mall where food outlets will be open from 7am.

Can I take photos?

Yes of course. There are photo points around the routes where you get the best views. If you choose to stop to take photos, please make sure you don't block the route so other runners can still get past you.

Can I do more than one lap?

No. Dubai Run is a very popular event so we ask that you complete your chosen route only once, so everyone gets a chance to take part.

Is there a cut off time?

Yes, there are cut off times for both routes. Our event team will let you know if you are falling behind on the day. If you do miss the cut-off times, you will be asked to complete your Dubai Run on the sidewalks rather than the roads.

What happens if I can't finish my run?

If you can't finish your run, we ask that you move onto the nearest sidewalk. Our event team will be able to direct you back to your car or to the nearest metro station.

Is there a bag drop or storage facility?

There is no bag drop or storage facility at Dubai Run, and we ask you not to run with bags or backpacks for safety and security reasons. There is plenty of water available on the route so you shouldn't need to carry anything with you on your run.

Do I get a medal for completing my run?

No, Dubai Run is a chance to run on Dubai's iconic roads for fun, it's not a competition and there's no medal for completing the run.

Can I take part in Dubai Run if I feel ill?

No. If you feel ill, we ask that you stay at home and do not take part in Dubai Run to protect the health of other participants, and your own health.

Yes. We plan safety with Dubai's authorities and comply with all necessary requirements. We have security and medical teams on site to look after you if you need help.
