Important information

From bib collection to metro timings – here's what you need to know about Dubai Run presented by Mai Dubai.

FOR 5KM RUNNERS

Route Information

  • Enjoy this spectacular route in the heart of the city, offering breathtaking views!
  • The 5km running route starts from near the World Trade Centre Metro Station on Sheikh Zayed Road.
  • This shorter route takes a left turn, looping around DIFC, towards the opposite corner of Emirates Towers.

Before the Run

  • Bibs can be collected from Za'abeel Halls 5 and 6 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) between:
    • Sunday 21 - Tuesday 23 November (12pm to 10pm)
    • Wednesday 24 - Thursday 25 November (12pm to midnight)
  • Parking is available at DWTC, but it will NOT be free on the days of bib collection. Alternatively, take the Dubai Metro to World Trade Centre Metro Station.
  • Please make sure you bring your QR code with you – you cannot collect your bib without it (the QR code is unique to you and can only be used once for entry, so please don’t share it).
  • You can pick up bibs for friends and family as long as you have their QR codes with you.

During the Run

    • Key timings to remember: 
      • Arrivals begin from 4am
      • Dubai Run starts at 6am
      • Complete your run by 9:30am
  • To join the 5km route, get off at the World Trade Centre Metro Station. 
  • The metro will open at 3:30am on 26 November
  • Before travelling on the metro, top up your NOL card with a minimum balance of AED15, which you will need to get to and from Dubai Run.
  • If you are driving to a metro, there is plenty of parking available at stations all over Dubai including: Centrepoint; Etisalat; Jebel Ali; Jumeirah Golf Estates; Burjuman; Mall of the Emirates; City Centre Deira; Ibn Battuta Mall.
  • If driving to the run is your only transport option, there is free parking available at Dubai World Trade Centre on Friday 26 November, though spaces are limited. Please note, there will be road closures too, so you may not be able to leave the area until Dubai Run ends if you are driving.
  • Make sure you arrive wearing your bib, pinned to your t-shirt. You will not be permitted to take part in Dubai Run without your bib!
  • We have strict measures in place to protect the safety of everyone involved in the run, which can be reviewed in detail on our FAQs section. Additionally, security guards and safety marshals will be stationed along the route to assist you.
  • Don’t forget to grab some water as you pass by the hydration stations along the route, provided by ​​Mai Dubai.
  • Dubai Run is not a race, so make sure to enjoy the experience.

After the Run

  • You should complete your run before or by 9:30am. If you can't finish the route then our team will help guide you back to a safe area on time, so that the routes can be cleared ahead of the roads reopening for traffic.
  • There will be no food available on the route, but there are a lot of restaurants and cafes at Dubai World Trade Centre if you want to go for a coffee or breakfast after your run. Alternatively, take the metro to one of the nearby malls.
  • We recommend you use Dubai Metro to get home after the event. The metro stations at World Trade Centre, Emirates Towers and Max Fashion will all be open to help you get home.

FOR 10KM RUNNERS

Route Information

  • Enjoy this spectacular route in the heart of the city, offering breathtaking views!
  • The 10km running route starts from near the Emirates Towers Metro Station on Sheikh Zayed Road.
  • On this longer route, you will take the overpass towards Downtown Dubai, jog along the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard past the foot of the world-famous Burj Khalifa and loop back through DIFC between soaring skyscrapers.

Before the Run

  • Bibs can be collected from Za'abeel Halls 5 and 6 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) between:
    • Sunday 21 - Tuesday 23 November (12pm to 10pm)
    • Wednesday 24 - Thursday 25 November (12pm to midnight)
